Stereophonic diffusion / Single-ch projection on specific screen

Recurrence is an immersive sonic light sculpture by Alex Augier in collaboration with the visual artist Heather Lander. About eternity, the sculpture allows effects of depth and translucency which sublimate visuals symbolizing the cycle of sunrise and sunset. This general aesthetic is completed by an electronic, symphonic and delicate soundscape. The musical layers and movements are blurry, with no beginning or end and ultimately encapsulate the idea of what eternity could be. The setup, arranged across two layers with 32 smart films and two-ways mirrors, brings a new dimension, pseudo-holographic, in the restitution of the visual aesthetic and offers a singular experience for the public.
Recurrence is produced by Cryptic (Glasgow/UK) in partnership with SationMIR / Festival ]Interstice[ (Caen/FR), Stereolux (Nantes/FR), Cove Park (Glasgow/UK), kindly supported by Diaphonique and Creative Scotland and has been created during the 2021 Interstice festival (Le Cargö, Caen, FR).
